THE CONSTITUTION OF MMARS

  1. THE Club shall be known as MELTON MOWBRAY AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY

  2. THE aims and object of the Society shall be the betterment and furthering of Amateur Radio and the mutual enjoyment thereof

  3. MEMBERSHIP shall be open to all persons interested

  4. THE Annual Subscription for the current year (September to September) shall be as decided at the last past Annual General Meeting, subject to any proviso for exemption for non-wage-earners and pensioners etc.

  5. MEETINGS shall be conducted through
    (a) the Secretary and Treasurer for the time being, plus
    (b) Chairman who shall be elected for each Meeting by a majority vote of members then present

  6. THE Secretary/Treasurer shall be elected for the ensuing year at the Annual General Meeting

  7. ALL Members of the Society, whether paying subscription or exempted, shall be entitled to vote at any Meeting

  8. DECISIONS reached at any Meeting by a majority vote shall prevail over all

  9. ACCOUNTS shall be put to the Annual General Meeting by the Secretary/Treasurer

  10. ON any winding-up of the Society the funds then in hand shall be evenly distributed by the Secretary/Treasurer amongst all paying Members



Footnote: At the Annual General Meeting in September 1971, inter alia, Non-wage-earners, students and pensioners were thereafter considered EXEMPT from paying subscriptions.
